A fantastic week!!
I must admit, this has been a fantastic week! I have had a great time, probably one of the more hectic weeks of recent memory.. but ohhh, so many great experiences.
Monday, frankly, started badly. I had not gotten any sleep and was in a pretty pissy mood (as I am sure my collegues can attest to). But after going to the gym (like the good girl I am) and getting some artificial sun, I started to feel a little better.
Tuesday, I went to my first “First Tuesday” for the 10th Anniversary celebration, met some really interesting people, enjoyed the JazzCode (although I seriously hate Jazz – JazzCode was a FANASTIC illustration of agility!, I still hate Jazz but wow, good stuff, so good in fact I would like to see it again (see, not necessarily hear) www.jazzcode.org ).
Wednesday, I went to the Association of International Professional And Business Women AIPBW, a fantastic non-profit networking organization that unites, supports and promotes the interests of international professional and business women in Norway. I was elected as Chair for 2010! This is a nettwork of unbelievably talented, smart and educated women, I am so proud and excited to be given the opportunity to contribute!
Thursday, I had an amazing dinner at the gourmet restaurant Feinschmecker, FANTASTIC!! It has been about 15 years since I have been there, but wow, what great food, wonderful service – fab wine (lots of wine). And the company – well – in my book it simply does not get better than an evening with Kevlin Henney!!
Which brings us to Friday, today, have met some great new people, enjoyed my day at work, made myself a horrible (really, I swear, nasty) dinner of pasta (so bad I have to chuck the left-overs). Having a glass of wine while my wonderful, talented, smart and fantastic son watches Scooby-doo and Droopy.
Tomorrow, a day at the spa… and who knows what the evening may bring.
Aaaahh… right here … right now… bliss..
