We miss you
Inspiration is lacking, for once I am speachless.
The funeral is tomorrow, it will be beautiful, just what you would have wanted. I miss you, I miss you.
Picking out that music for you, I hope it is what you would have appreciated.
I wish you were here, I wish you could see all of us, your family and friends, see how much we love you, see what you have meant to us, see how much you will be missed.

Saturday morning cartoons
Do you remember waking up early on Saturdays, quietly tiptoeing to the tv, turning it on and hope against hope some good cartoons would be on.
I remember when visiting my Dad, he would come out of his room and turn the volume down so low you would have to be a bat with supersonic hearing to detect it. I would immediately turn it back up, and the volume ballet would begin. My Dad becoming more and more annoyed each time – still cracks me up! I can still see him coming out of his room mumbling swear words under his breath and giving me such dirty looks.. Sometimes I would mess with the volume just to annoy him – shhhh dont tell him!
My favorite was always Bugs Bunny, they never could show enough – and never did. The best cartoon of all time if you ask me, is Daffy Duck as Robin Hood.. Man oh man, I just think about it and cant help laughing, particularly when he is playing a lute and stumbles down a hill tripping head first into the lake, all the while singing “..and I’ll trip and trip and trip and trip..”. Another good one where Bugs tricks two hillbillies into a squaredance by dressing up as a woman…Oh yeah, and the Magician who says “Rooota Vooota Zoot” and attempts to pull Bugs out of his hat!
Now, I am so glad if my little guy will watch cartoons as long a possible.. allowing me some extra sleep. And I seldom turn down the volume…
It is Saturday morning, I was allowed to sleep until 0930 – a miracle!! We sit and watch Bugs together, my son and I and still there can never be enough Bugs, my son tires of it much sooner than I!
